MGM 1.5 L 2015 Björnson Isabel Pinot Noir
The 2015 Vintage was characterized by early budbreak, early bloom, and plenty of sunshine. Fortunately, the weather cooled in September, allowing the fruit "extra hang time" to achieve phenological ripeness.
Reflecting the softer side of the Björnson Vineyard, this barrel selection expresses a sensual, gracefulness framed by a hearty, enduring fabric of velvety tannins. An elegant, feminine wine - but not a pushover.
This barrel selection honors Mark's grandmother Isabel, who homesteaded on the plains of North Dakota, was a school teacher, renowned cook, and award-winning pie maker. The proceeds from her three-acre vegetable garden saved the family farm during the Great Depression and paid college tuition for Mark's mother and uncle.
